SERVPRO of Ocala was called out early morning because of a large water damage that begin on the top floor (7th floor) and ran down all floors and even the elevator shaft. Our crews worked non stop extracting water from top to bottom of this low rise, seven floor building. Also the manpower it takes to haul up flights of stairs all the dehumidifiers, air movers, air scrubbers, trash cans for collecting water etc. because the elevator was out of service. Special drying equipment had to be placed in all areas because the building build in the 1931 and the walls are made of plaster. Wet material was taken out of the building as well as the many offices effected by the water. This means many businesses were shut down temporary while crews extracted water from all the offices in this low rise. Also the drying equipment displaced business owners and employees for a few days. Power boxes had to be used throughout this structure to supply the much needed electricity to run all the drying equipment.
